HOW DOES A APPLE USB CHARGING WORK
THE SECRET BEHINDE APPLE DEVICES TO CHARGE WITH USB
WELL if we try to charge apple devices or smat phones with a normal 2 buck of a cheap home made
charger made with a usb battery and voltage regulator does not work??
why ? what 's the mystery behind those??
Well most of those 2 buck charger have a cicuit like this with ac to dc converters
well apple is not supported to these
charger .
Then whats so special in apple chargers
The apples have a special mechanism to charging
in which they check the the voltage on
pin name
2 data -
3 data +
SO if these voltage match with it's recommended setting it will charge
Then what are recommended setting
name voltage
data - 2.0v or 2.8v
data+ 2.0v
So if you put proper voltage on it ,it will charge
to put these voltage you need to convert 5v to 2.0v
To do so you have to use voltage divider circuit
In this circuits 2 resistors are connected to vcc and gnd
instead of vin give + 5v from regulator
So to get 2.0v we need to put combination R1 and R2
11k and 13k
and to get 2.8v we need to put combination of R1 and R2
12k and 13k
after putting these resistance you will achive sucess
